2015 Israel Solidarity Day – Fun for Jewish Community in Chicago

This year marks the 67th anniversary of the establishment of Israel, and as in years past, the Jewish United Fund (JUF) of Chicago is bringing the community together to celebrate Israel Solidarity Day at Highland Park’s Ravinia Festival Pavilion. Scheduled for May 3, 2015, the Yom Ha’atzmaut (Israel Independence Day) event, which include a children’s concert featuring a performance by Rick Recht, has been organized by JUF to appeal to Chicagoland Jews of all ages. Other performers include The Jamman Drum Circle, The Maccabeats, and headliner Hadag Nachash.

In addition to the jubilant nature of the event, the Israel Solidarity Day will include activism and philanthropy. Participants are invited to join the three-mile Walk with Israel to exemplify the Chicago Jewish community’s solidarity. All proceeds from the event will go toward Israel Children’s Zone, an international charity organization that provides holistic support to children in need across JUF’s Partnership Region in Israel.
