On Monday, April 20, the Chicago Bears announced the date for the start of their annual summer training camp at Olivet Nazarene University, 60 miles south of Chicago. Players will arrive on the Bourbonnais, Illinois, campus on Wednesday, July 29, with practice set to start the following day. This will be the Bears’ 14th summer training session at Olivet Nazarene, which provides lodging for all players and staff members, four practice fields, a weight room, meeting space, and air-conditioned dining facilities and locker rooms. Prior to 2002, the team gathered for summer training in Platteville, Wisconsin.
The Chicago Bears welcome the public to attend their training activities and will release their full practice schedule at a later date. In addition to free entry and parking, the venue offers a pro shop, kids’ activity area, and promotional fan games. The Bears will host a number of family-friendly events throughout the summer, inviting fans to join them as they gear up for the 2015-16 season.
